The Meta for Business "Cloud of Personalization" serves up what's most important to users, whenever and wherever they happen to be across the Meta for Business ecosystem. Includes both a push notification system and an omnipresent "panel" that dynamically serves up the most important actions, information or inspiration for each individual user.
I discovered through insights gleaned from user research, analytics and general analysis that there we had been providing our users a deeply fragmented, confusing and often broken experience across the many different surfaces they touch. This not only led to frustration along our users' journey, but significant money left on the table for the company.
Identified the opportunity, envisioned the solution, created a compelling case for investment that convinced leadership to support the initiative, led the design process, oversaw development, managed the 15 person strong cross-functional team dedicated to the experience, then leveraged both quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize and evolve it.
The Cloud of Personalization uses a combination of explicit signals associated with each user and multiple complimentary machine learning algorithms to determine what to show to who, and in which order to show it.
Since the MVP launched at the beginning of 2022, the experience had tens of millions of users and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in incremental revenue.
